NGC 6888, known as the Crescent Nebula, is located in the constellation Cygnus and is associated with the Wolf-Rayet star WR 136, whose intense stellar winds shape the surrounding gas.
The observed structure consists of material expelled by the star throughout its evolution, creating a glowing, shell-like shape. It is a striking example of the interaction between a massive star and the interstellar medium.
