The Flame Nebula is a cloud of gas illuminated by the star Alnitak, in Orion’s Belt.
The Horsehead Nebula stands out as a dark silhouette of gas and dust, visible through its contrast against the luminous background.
The Orion Nebula is one of the closest “stellar nurseries”, where new stars are born, and is easily identifiable in the night sky, even with the naked eye.
